How to Copy ur Windows XP History

Instructions

1. Step 1

   Click "Start," "Search," "Tools," then "Folder Options." Click the "View" tab.

2. Step 2

   Click the option to "Show hidden files and folders." Deselect the options to "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide important operating system files." Click "Apply" and then "OK." You are returned to the Search window.

3. Step 3

   Set your search parameters to look in "All Files and Folders" in the "C Drive" for the "index.dat" file.

4. Step 4

   Right-click on the index.dat file in the search results pane and click "Copy." Paste the copy to the desired location.
