Instructions
- Step 1
Restart the computer.
- Step 2
Press the "F8" key when prompted with "Please select the operating system to start."
- Step 3
Use the up and down arrow keys to navigate the highlighted cursor to the "Last known good configuration" and press the "Enter" key.
- Step 4
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlighted cursor to the operating system version to which you wish to boot.
- Step 5
Press the "Enter" key. This reinstalls an earlier version of the registry from the last known good configuration that Microsoft Windows has recorded as working. This reinstalls all registry keys that were current on the date of that configuration and removes all subsequently entered keys that were not in the registry at that time.
