1. Place a WinPE disc into the CD/DVD drive of a computer and boot the computer. If a message appears on the monitor display stating "Press any key to boot from the CD," press a key on the keyboard to boot the computer with the WinPE disc. WinPE will boot into a desktop with a command prompt.
   
   
2. Type "net use * \\network_host\share" on the command line, substituting the actual host name in place of "network_host" and substituting file share name in place of "share." Press the "Enter" key.
   
   
3. Type the user name and password of an account with permissions to access the share in the "Login" window that appears. Tap the "Enter" key.
