DIY Seamless Background

1. Open Adobe Photoshop and click "File" on the application toolbar. Click "New" on the drop-down menu.

   
   

2. Create a new image that is 800 pixels by 800 pixels. Click "OK."

   
   

3. Draw the pattern for your seamless background onto the blank canvas. Keep things as simple as possible -- it will make creating a seamless background out of your image much easier.
   
   
4. Select "Filter" from the top menu, hover your mouse pointer over "Other" and choose "Offset." Set the horizontal offset to 400 pixels and the vertical offset to 400 pixels. Click the "Wrap Around" radio button and click "OK."

   
   

5. Use the "Paint Tool" to paint over the visible "seams" or edges in your image. You will need to select the same color as the image background. This will have the effect of "erasing" the seams from the image.

   
   

6. Finish your design but avoid adding anything near the borders, as this will detract from the illusion of your background image being seamless. When you are finished, click "File," "Save As," and save your image.
