Instructions

  1. 1

Gather any images, charts or photographs you might want to use in the brochure. If they are not already on your computer, then scan them in, saving them to a folder named "brochure."

  2. 2

Open Photoshop. Select the standard U.S. size template. Make the resolution about 150 pixels per inch. Name the document "brochure side 1." Since you will be creating a two-sided brochure, you will need to have two separate images (side 1 and side 2). Now go to "Image", click "Image Rotation," and select a 90 degree turn.

  3. 3

Open any of the images you want to use in the brochure. Then "Copy" and "Paste" them into "brochure side 1." Each will come in on its own layer. Go to "Edit" and then "Transform," and select "Scale." Resize the images, and use the "Move" tool to position them where you want them.

  4. 4

Go to the "Text" tool, and use it to type in your text. You can also use the "Custom Shape" tool to add shapes and symbols to your brochure. Use of the "Gradient" tool on sections can add a dramatic, professional look.

  5. 5

Print your brochure. You can do this using your own printer and glossy brochure paper, or you can save your brochure to a CD, and having a printer like Staples or Office Depot do it for you. This latter approach might be best if you are printing a large number of copies
